Motivation Is a Result, Not a Requirement
Waiting to feel motivated is the most reliable way never to start. Motivation arrives after the first few sessions, as a consequence of having done them, which means the job of the first three weeks is simply to be boringly repeatable.
Halve whatever you were planning. A session you will definitely do beats one you might.
The best session is the one you can repeat on your worst week.
Build the Floor, Not the Ceiling
Decide the smallest version of your week that still counts: two sessions, twenty minutes, whatever is honestly achievable in a bad month. That floor is what protects the habit when life gets loud, and everything above it is a bonus.

Tell someone what the floor is. Accountability is the cheapest performance enhancer there is.
Conclusion
Consistency compounds and intensity does not. Protect the streak, and let the ambition take care of itself.
